Some of my favorite black & whites...

Bella had her first bath since she's been home. She peed all over the countertop...

Awwwww....

A picture for Aunt Ruthann

This is the beautiful blanket Aunt Ruthann made for us... Can you believe it? We couldn't. Thank you so much Aunt Ruthann, for the amazing keepsake. We'll treasure it.

Isn't she radiant? Or...is that just the blanket?

Here's the little porkchop hangin out on the "billy blanket." I think she likes it. Nice and warm...

Random Pics...

Well I think we've created a monster... this blogg that is... by extremely popular demand, here are some more pics for all our loved ones who are dyin for some more Bella...
As you can see, her poops are comin along quite nicely... Like father, like daughter.

billy got kicked to the curb...

bella is doing much better... she's turned into a little piggy (mels words) as she is eating much better. a couple times mel's put her down and a half hour later she's hungry and eating quite vigorusly and for a long time! Yeah! The docs said her billirubin level is down again so she no longer needs the billy blanket! I called off the rest of the week, its raining for the next couple days and we don't usually work in the rain. My boss was extremely gracious and said stay home and he even said I'd get paid anyway! Isn't our God amazaing? Everytime I have doubts about tithing i remember things like this and give with a joyful heart.

Billy who?

Tuesday proved to be fairly eventful... I went back to work, Mom and Dad left for Goshen, and Mel and Linda went to the first checkup for Bella. The docs ran a blood lab to test her billyruben (sp?) levels. Unfortunately, she tested outside the acceptable parameters, and they sent her to Children's Hospital of the Kings Daughters (aptly named, I thought, for my little girl) to have some further testing done. The upper limit for release is 20, and Bella tested 20.4, so we had to spend the night in the hospital. Bella spent the night under these two spotlights with a hilarious looking sleepmask. The most stressful part of our stay, (beside the fact that only Mel was entitled to the meals and lil ol Dad gets the leftover scraps) was watching Bella's IV nurse stuggle to start her IV. Fortunately, I'm fairly confident Bella's still too young to develop an aversion to needles. They released us today around 2:30pm and arranged to have a "billy blanket" set up at the house. So now Bella is sleeping on a little blanket that glows in the dark and is scheduled to have a followup visit first thing in the morning.

The Pink Nursery

I didn't have many pictures of this big event, but here are several........

Thank you family for helping us get the nursery painted!!! You were all a huge help and we greatly appreciated it! Jess and Kelsie were also here to help, but unfortunately I didn't have pictures of them. Sorry girls.....I still love you!

One Stripe Becames Two

I really wanted two brown stripes around the top of the nursery walls and didn't want to take no for an answer, but after discussing it with Matt, we decided to do one thick stripe- we thought it might be easier and take less time. Although it might have been easier it ended up being a bit of a headache. Matt did a wonderful job and worked really hard! He finished painting and decided it was time to pull off the blue tape. The paint had bled behind the tape so the lines weren't crisp...they were just a little fuzzy. Needless to say, Matt wasn't happy. Matt, being the perfectionist that he is, wasn't about to leave it like it was so we decided to re-tape the stripe and try again. We didn't love the one big thick stripe so we decided to try for two, like I originally wanted. And, this time...it worked! Our friend Jimmy was a huge help to Matt in turning the one stripe into two stripes, just as I had imagined. The pictures don't really do it justice, but it at least gives you an idea of what it looks like. Great job Matt and thanks for all your hard work!

Coming right along...

I went to the doctor's with Mel this last week and heard the heartbeat again. The doctor answered all our questions, but I felt like we should have probably had alot more than we did. I guess I must already know everything there is to know about childbirth, babies, and parenting. In fact I should probably just deliver the baby...
